PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved a system and an improved method for ultrasonic imaging for performing harmonic imaging of an object in a medium. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic harmonic imaging system comprises a transducer of a wide band range phase arrangement, a transmitter for transmitting a wave containing a fundamental frequency part and a harmonic part of the fundamental frequency to a tissue, a receiver for receiving the ultrasonic response from the tissue, a control system which is electrically connected to the transmitter and the receiver to control the operations of the transmitter and the receiver, a video processor, and a monitor.
