PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a chair for keyboard instrument performance which can be operated by small operation force, which minimizes a load to the fingers of a player and which has neat appearance. SOLUTION: The chair 1 for keyboard instrument performance consists of: a leg part 2; a seat face part 3 installed on the leg part 2; and a height adjusting device 4 which supports the seat face part 3 in a vertically movable state and keeps it at an optional height position. The leg part 2 is formed into a frame with four legs 6, four end panels 7 for connecting the upper ends of the adjacent legs 6 with each other; and two leg connectors 8 for connecting the lower ends of the two adjacent legs 6 in a front and rear direction, respectively. The height adjusting device 4 consists of a single gas spring device 15 and three support bars 16. The gas spring device 15 is incorporated inside a single leg 6, and the three support bars 16 are incorporated in the three legs 6 via a linear guide in the state of being movable forward and backward.
