PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pure water manufacturing method using an electric regeneration type pure water manufacturing apparatus and to more extend the life of the ion exchange membrane or ion exchanger of the electric regeneration type pure water manufacturing apparatus. SOLUTION: This electric regeneration type pure water manufacturing apparatus is constituted of one or more sets of a desalting chamber (81) and an concentration chamber (91) successively formed by alternately arranging anion exchange membranes and cation exchange membranes between an anode chamber (3) equipped with an anode (2) and a cathode chamber (5) equipped with a cathode (4). Mixtures (A) each comprising a cation exchanger and an anion exchanger are housed in the desalting chamber. NaCl and/or KCl is added to water to be treated supplied to the desalting chamber. In this case, NaCl and/or KCl is usually added to the salt aqueous solution injection pipe (143) provided to the inflow pipe (131) on the side of the desalting chamber. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
