<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive chemical filter having the large surface coating ratio of a chemical adsorbent and high filter efficiency. <P>SOLUTION: The chemical filter comprises a substrate 1 which is composed of ceramic fibers, glass fibers or a mixture of them.
