PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a variable displacement swash plate type compressor capable of further reducing energy loss.

SOLUTION: A coned disc spring 20 for generating an urging force to reduce a thrust load on a thrust bearing 13 is placed between a first bearing 10 and a lug plate 14. A taper rolling bearing as the first bearing 10 receives a radial load and a thrust load.
