PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a forward type distortion compensation amplifier which performs control in a correct direction even when phases of two received signals are deviated. SOLUTION: The forward type distortion compensation amplifier directly utilizes an input signal to apply synchronization detection to the signal. That is, the amplifier uses the input signal or a prescribed band signal within a band of the input signal for a synchronizing signal to apply synchronization detection to a signal branched from a signal of a CDC 7 receiving an output signal of a CDC 6. Further, the amplifier converts both the input signal and the output signal of the CDC 6 into an intermediate frequency by using a signal from a local oscillator to apply synchronization detection to an intermediate frequency signal of the output signal of the CDC 6 by an intermediate frequency signal of the input signal.
