PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid leaving information stored for showing calling persons by annoying calls or wrong calls. SOLUTION: A ringer counter 3 counts ringer signals from a network controller 1. When the ringer signal is not detected over a specified time, it decides that the ringer signal stopped and outputs the ringer count number to a ringer count checker 4. The checker 4 compares the ringer count number from the counter 3 with a previously registered ringer count threshold in a ringer count threshold memory 6, and outputs the comparison result to a main controller 5. When the main controller 5 recognizes that the ringer count number is below the threshold, it outputs no originating telephone number data to an originating telephone number data memory 10. If it recognizes that the ringer count number exceeds the threshold, it outputs originating telephone number data to the originating telephone number data memory 10 to store the originating telephone number data as a terminating history.
