PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide aluminum exterior articles which are used for casings of electronic equipment etc., and have excellent glossiness and metallic feel. SOLUTION: The aluminum exterior articles are obtained by polishing the surfaces of formed bodies formed to the shapes of the aluminum exterior articles by a polishing tool held with abrasive sized≤0.1μm on a substrate surface and subjecting the surface to anodic oxidation treatment. If the deposition of polishing scrap by polishing is much, degreasing, etching and chemical polishing may be performed. The aluminum exterior articles are formed with anodized films on the surfaces and have the surface specular gloss (60°) of≥80 and surface roughness Ra of 0.01 to 0.2μm, Rz of 0.04 to 0.8μm, and Ry of 0.08 to 1.6μm.
