PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for crosslinking a rubber using an organic peroxide in which scorch is effectively suppressed and crosslinking is well proceeded without deteriorating work environment. SOLUTION: The method for crosslinking a rubber is a method in which a rubber is crosslinked in the presence of 2,4-diphenyl-4-methyl-1-pentene and a multifunctional allyl compound in a method for crosslinking a rubber with an organic peroxide. Moreover, in the method for crosslinking a rubber, the ratio of 2,4-diphenyl-4-methyl-1-pentene to a multifunctional allyl compound is in the range of from 1:0.1 to 1:10 by weight.
