A breath-actuated nasal delivery device, comprising: a mouthpiece 119 through which a user in use exhales to actuate the delivery device; a nosepiece 117 for fitting to a nostril of the user through which a substance is in use delivered and being in fluid communication with mouthpiece 119, a substance supply unit 125 actuatable to deliver a dose of a substance through nosepiece 117, a release mechanism 131 for enabling actuation of substance supply unit 125 in response to exhalation by the user though the mouthpiece; and a flow-control mechanism 159, in the form of a vane, disposed upstream of the trigger member 149 to at least restrict an air flow to the trigger member such as to prevent actuation of the release mechanism on exhalation by the user through the mouthpiece where the delivery device is being improperly operated. The flow control mechanism, shown in more detail in figs 14 and 15 comprising a flow channel section 171, an included recess 173 and a ball 175 which is moved in/out of the recess depending on the orientation and /or air flow thereover. |
