PURPOSE: An NRD guide(Non-Radiative-Dielectric Waveguide) amplifier is provided to improve a S/N ratio and a gain by installing a power amplifier and a low noise amplifier within the NRD guide amplifier. CONSTITUTION: An NRD guide amplifier includes an NRD guide line-strip line converter. The NRD guide line-strip line converter is formed with an NRD guide line(3) and a strip line substrate(4). The NRD guide line(3) and the strip line substrate(4) are inserted between a top conductor plate(1) and a bottom conductor plate(2). A metallic thin film(5) is patterned on the strip line substrate(4) by using a photo-etching method. A rectangular die pattern for mounting a HEMT(High-Electron-Mobility Transistor) for amplifying a signal is formed on the strip line. An RF output part and an RF input part are formed at a left side and a right side of the rectangular die pattern. The HEMT element is mounted on the rectangular die pattern. |
