Apparatus and method for modulating and demodulating address data for a disc type recording medium

The address data generated by a generator (110), is encoded by an encoder (120), for error correction. Modulating signals for the encoded data, are generated using the modulators (131,133) by binary phase shift keying (BPSK) and frequency shift keying (FSK) methods. The modulating signals are synthesized to generate unit wobble signal. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) address data modulation apparatus; (2) address data demodulation method; (3) address data demodulation apparatus; (4) optical disk; (5) recorded medium storing address data modulation program; and (6) address data demodulation program.
