PURPOSE: A device for supporting a motor for a vacuum cleaner is provided to prevent the vibration of the motor from being transmitted to a body case and to reduce vibration and noise of the body case by elastically supporting the motor with an elastic member. CONSTITUTION: A front support unit(60) is integrally installed at an upper case(11) of a cleaner body(1), and supports the outer circumference of a motor mounting packing(53) fixed to the outside of an impeller cover(52). A rear support unit(70) is integrally installed at a lower case(12) of the cleaner body, and supports a seal packing unit coupled to a bearing placing unit formed at the rear of a motor housing(51). A coil spring(72) is installed at the rear support unit, and elastically presses the rear of the motor housing.
