A shaft 12 is coupled to a shaft 11 by a serrated or polygonal section extension 12a engaging in a complementarily shaped bore 11b of the shaft 11. The shafts are retained axially by a U-shaped spring clip 18 housed in a peripheral groove in the shaft 11 which breaks into the bore 11b at opposite sides thereof so that the limbs of the clip engage a groove 12b of the shaft extension 12a. A bushing 14, within which the shaft 11 is rotatably mounted, retains the clip 18 in position. |
