PURPOSE: A lighting device is provided to achieve improved efficiency of light emitting diode and AC power by arranging a smoothing circuit using a diode bridge circuit device and a smoothing circuit using an electrolytic condenser and a coil. CONSTITUTION: A lighting device comprises a protection resistor(13) arranged in accordance with the number of light emitting diodes(14) connected in serial; a diode bridge circuit(11) using four diodes; and a smoothing circuit(12) using an electrolytic condenser and a coil.
