<p>An ejector pin (332) has inner segment fitted into a bore formed in a proximate ejector plate (334) movable between knock-out and retracted position, and outer segment disposed outwardly of the bore. A coupling unit (400) detachedly connects the head portion of an ejector rod (48) and distal ejector plate (335) in frictional engagement during to-and-fro movement of the rod. The proximate ejector plate is moved closure and away from the stationary plate (31), during knock-out and retracted position of the proximate ejector plate. The outer segment is positioned distal from the butt end of the inner segment, along axial direction. The outer segment is moved slidably into the stationary plate, so as to move into or away from the mold cavity when the proximate ejector plate is moved to knock-out or retracted position. The ejector rod is moved in to-and-fro direction by an actuator.</p> |
