SURFACE-TREATING AGENT COMPOSITION AND PROCESS FOR PRODUCING THE SAME

A carbon-carbon double bond-containing composition comprises a combination of (A) a tri-isocyanate in which a di-isocyanate is trimerized, and (B) >= 2 active hydrogen-containing compounds including (B-1) a perfluoropolyether having active hydrogen(s) and (B-2) a monomer having an active hydrogen and a carbon-carbon double bond. Independent claims are also included for: (1) a polymer containing the perfluoropolyether obtained by polymerizing the composition; (2) a product obtained by coating the polymer; (3) a coating liquid containing the composition and optionally a fluoro-alcohol, fluoro-ether or di-trifluoromethyl-benzene; (4) an optical material surface-coated with a skin film formed so the content of perfluoropolyether in the polymer is 0.01-10 wt%; and (5) the manufacture of a compound having a carbon-carbon double bond and perfluoropolyether groups by removing high boiling point solvent by precipitating composition with non-polar solvent, adding acetone and polymerization inhibitor to the precipitate, and removing as a solution of a compound having a carbon-carbon double bond and perfluoropolyether groups.
