Method comprises prestorage treatment of tobacco with immunostimulating agent, in particular with preparation obtained by consecutive extraction of biomass of micromycet Mortierella minutissima with nonpolar extractant in supercritical state, water, alkali, water, acid, water, alkali, and water followed by combining first extract with solid residue, amount of immunostimulating agent ranging from 1 to 1.104 mg/t. Tobacco is then aged for at least 3 h, dried, and treated with hot nitrogen monoxide containing vapors of a monobasic saturated organic acid.
