FIELD: machine and instrument making, possibly for grinding, polishing and surface hardening of parts in free granulated medium. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for tumbling includes tumbling drum mounted in frame and made of helical variable-width strips. Strips are coiled in vertical plane in lengthwise direction and they are bent along helical lines in cross direction. Formation of complex shape inner surface of drum provides enhanced efficiency of treatment. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities due to compression of working medium at tumbling process along length of drum, increased intensity of mixing working medium. 2 cl, 10 dwg |
