In preparing potato for storage involving its treatment with chitosan (X) (X) is used as a component of preparation including additionally suspension of Steinernema feltiae taken in the amount about 99% by mass. Invention provides killing harmful insects without negative effect on immune status, germination capacity and organoleptic properties of potato. EFFECT: improved preparing method.
