FIELD: compositions used for protection of magnesium, magnesium- aluminum, aluminum-magnesium and aluminum alloys in cooling liquids of engines and liquid heat-transfer agents. SUBSTANCE: corrosion protection is effected due to selected group of aliphatic and aromatic carboxylic acids or salts of these acids and alkaline metals, ammonium or amines together with fluoride and/or fluorocarboxylic acid or its salts.
