PURPOSE: A method for transmitting and receiving audio in a mosaic EPG(Electronic Program Guide) service is provided to more efficiently transmit and receive each sub-picture classified stereo audio provided through the mosaic EPG service. CONSTITUTION: Mixers(161-16k) mix stereo audios corresponding to sub-pictures in a mosaic EPG image, and generate mono audios. An audio encoder(15) encodes a plurality of mono audios as one or more stereo audios corresponding to the sub-pictures. A multiplexer and modulator(12) and an up-linker(13) transmit the encoded stereo audios through a mosaic EPG service.
