In recombinant plasmid DNA comprising gene gp120 of human immunodeficiency virus type-1 of subtype A in nucleotides sequences in codons with predominance of adenine and/or thymine adenine and/or thymine are substituted partially for guanine and/or cytosine. The prepared recombinant plasmid DNA provides expression of envelope protein of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) type 1 of subtype A in cells of higher eucaryotic organisms.
