FIELD: method and device for pyrolysis and gasification of waste, in particular, of peculiar and/or dangerous waste. SUBSTANCE: the method includes the operation of gasification and melting, operation of treatment of the obtained gases, as well as the operation of vitrification, in which the mentioned operations provide for the following stages: (a) the material under treatment us gasified at a temperature within 1300 to 1500C during a time interval within 3 to 15 seconds and melted during 5 to 30 minutes at an absolute absence of air, with production of a mixture of combustible gases, noncombustible gases and inert gases by means at least of two operations of gasification carried out successively during which the temperature is maintained constant with the aid at least of one thermal lance during any of gasification operations; (b) the mixture of so obtained combustible and noncombustible gases is subjected to cleaning and treatment for energy recovery; (c) liberation of inert gases or inorganic and mineral compounds in the vitrified state.
