PURPOSE: An optical pen mouse is provided to design a body of various forms regardless of a distance and a path of light transfer by transferring the pattern information of a reflecting surface to an image sensor through optical fiber. CONSTITUTION: A transparent optical tip(102) is installed to one end of a mouse body(108) of a pen shape. A lighting device(104) emits light to the reflecting surface(110) outside of the mouse body through the optical tip by installing to the inside of the mouse body. The optical fiber(101) guides a reflected light entered through the optical tip from the reflecting surface. The image sensor(106) receives/converts the light from the optical fiber into an electric signal and outputs the electric signal. A microcomputer(107) reads/outputs a moving direction and distance of the mouse to a computer by analyzing the pattern information inputted to the image sensor through the electric signal output from the image sensor. |
