PURPOSE: A television system for warning broadcasting and a method for transmitting a warning broadcasting signal thereof are provided to maximize a warning effect by inducing the seeing and hearing of the warning broadcasting in a state of turnoff of the television system. CONSTITUTION: A television system for warning broadcasting includes a warning broadcasting signal separation and processing unit(60) and a control unit(70). The warning broadcasting signal separation and processing unit(60) separates warning broadcasting signals or warning broadcasting data from received broadcasting signals or received data and decodes the warning broadcasting signals or the warning broadcasting data. The control unit(70) turns on the television system or changes a system operating mode to a television watching mode to output the broadcasting signals or the data of an agreed warning broadcasting channel when detecting the registered information from the decoded warning broadcasting signals or the decoded warning broadcasting data.
