METHOD FOR CONTROLLING FOCUS BIAS USING OPTICAL DISC DEVICE

PURPOSE: A method for controlling focus bias using an optical disc device is provided to quickly control the focus bias of an objective lens to the optical disc based on a level of a tracking error signal. CONSTITUTION: The level of the tracking error signal is detected for a predetermined time by rotating the optical disc(S21). The focus bias operation for the objective lens in an optical pickup is performed based on the detected tracking error signal level(S22). A focus bias control value at a time point of a maximum tracking error signal level is fixed as an optimal focus bias value(S31).
