PURPOSE: A method for controlling the temperature of a refrigerator is provided to selectively drive a cooling fan and open/close a wind shield according to temperature sensors of refrigerating and freezing chambers, thereby reducing the power consumption. CONSTITUTION: In a method for controlling the temperature of a refrigerator, a temperature of a freezing chamber sensed by a freezing chamber temperature sensor is compared with a set temperature(S101). If the sensed temperature is higher, a wind shield is opened and a cooling fan and a cooling unit are respectively driven(S102). A temperature of a refrigerator compartment sensed by a refrigerator compartment temperature sensor is compared with a set temperature(S103). If the sensed temperature reaches the set temperature, the wind shield is closed(S104). If the temperature of the freezing chamber sensed by the freezing chamber temperature sensor is lower than the set temperature, the operations of the cooling fan and the cooling unit are stopped(S105,S106).
