The extrusion, made from rigid plastic or metal designed to be fitted into an edge groove in a sandwich or composition roofing panel, consists of a hollow strip (7) with a box-section cavity forming a rainwater collection and drainage channel (11). It has an opening (8) in the outer wall (10) of the channel with upper and lower angled guides (17, 14) for the rainwater. The lower guide is in the form of a flexible seal lip which, together with an additional parallel seal lip (15) beneath it, engages with matching seal lips on an adjacent panel's extrusion to prevent any water penetrating between the two panels.
