The handle (20) is provided with a central duct (22) for the accommodation of the freely rotating upper part of the shaft (30) which is protected from getting lost by a holding element (34) attached at the top. When a loosely fixed screw is to be removed the shaft (30) can be rotated on its own while the handle (20) is not moved. For the removal of a tightly fixed screw or for fixing a screw tightly the handle (20) is pushed downwards, causing a clutch mechanism (40, 90) inside the duct (22) to engage and to combine the motion of the handle (20) with the motion of the shaft (30).
