The unit comprises a fan installed in a casing (1) comprising automatic means (10-13) for limiting the air pressure leaving the ventilator. The pressure limiting automatic means comprises an opening (10) in the casing and a valve (11) for sealing this opening which opens outwards to let the air escape when the air pressure inside the casing reaches a predetermined value. The valve is returned by a spring (13) when the air pressure falls.
