The instrument consists of a transparent cylindrical container (1), e.g. 80 mm in diameter and 300 mm tall, having a conical lower end with an outlet nozzle (4), a lid (6) and a handle (7). Filled with a mixture of sand and water (2), with a surplus or water (8) above the mixture, the nozzle is opened and closed, e.g. with a finger, to allow out a controlled flow for writing, drawing or making creative relief images on any suitable surface. An optional rod (5) attached to the handle can be used as a marker or for unblocking the nozzle.
