PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make mail address transmission from a portable terminal to a mail distribution site easier and to permit a user who is unfamiliar with information equipment to receive periodical mail distribution service from the mail distribution site. SOLUTION: A system is provided with a mail distribution site 1 connected to the Internet 2, portable telephone sets 3 and 4, and an attachment 5 temporarily connected to a connection terminal 28 of the portable telephone sets 3 and 4. The address of the mail distribution site 1 is stored in the attachment 5. Thus, by connecting the attachment 5 and the portable telephone set 3, the mail address of the portable telephone set 3 is read and transmitted from the portable terminal 3 to the mail distribution site 1.
