PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a one-way clutch capable of stably securing long life by eliminating the deformation of the cylindrical part of a cage in tapered shape after the cage is assembled in an outer ring to uniformize the energizing force by a spring against a sprag. SOLUTION: A taper reduced in diameter in a direction away from a flange part 42 is provided to the cylindrical part 41 of the cage 4 before the cage 4 is press-fitted into the outer ring 2 so that the ratio of a diameter difference at both axial end parts thereof to a distance between the both axial end parts of the cage 4 is 0.1 to 6.0%. By this, the taper of the cylindrical part 41 before assembly can be eliminated by the deformation of the cylindrical part 41 in tapered shape due to the deformation of the flange part 42 in diameter reducing direction when the flange part 42 is press-fitted into the outer ring 2, and the cylindrical part 41 can be formed in a correct cylindrical shape.
