PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fabric excellent in heat insulating effect, having near IR ray shielding character or UV ray reflecting character. SOLUTION: The stretch fabric comprising synthetic fibers and elastic fibers, has≥20 cc/sec cm<SP>2</SP>of gas permeability,≤20% of near-infrared transmission, and≥50% of elongation at least one of lengthwise and transverse direction of the fabric and≥80% of stretch recovery factor, and the method for producing the same. And the stretch fabric comprising synthetic fibers and elastic fibers, has≥20 cc/sec cm<SP>2</SP>of air permeability,≤5% of UV transmission, and≥50% of elongation at least one of lengthwise and transverse direction of the fabric and≥80% of stretch recovery factor, and the method for producing the same.
