PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing construction capable of efficiently performing reinforcement to bending moment and a shear force without giving damage to an existing structure. SOLUTION: The reinforcing construction of the existing structure such as a beam-column structure, a bridge or the like comprises a horizontal force holding member 1 extending in the direction of the axis of a beam or a girder, a reaction holding member 2 placed on the lower side of the reinforced position of the beam or the girder and a PC steel material 3 fixing the end to the horizontal force holding member 1 and stretched to the lower side of the reaction holding member 2. The reaction holding member 2 is pushed up by the PC steel material 3 to which tension is introduced, and the reinforced position of the beam or the girder can be supported from the lower side.
