PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate visual field angle characteristics by combining angle distributions of a liquid crystal display unit and a visual field angle enlarging means without measuring by integrating the display unit with the enlarging means. SOLUTION: The visual field angle is calculated when the visual field angle enlarging means is mounted in the liquid crystal display unit from the combined angle distribution by acquiring the angle distribution of a light intensity at each different luminance level of the display unit, acquiring the angle distribution of the light intensity of each different luminance level of the visual field angle enlarging means having a function of diffusing the light, converting the obtained angle distribution of the enlarging means into the angle distribution in a coordinate system in the display unit and combining the converted angle distribution of the enlarging means with the angle distribution of the display unit at different luminance level.
