PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing apparatus capable of easily and efficiently providing an image after excellent color processing even when an image of a processing object is any type of image.

SOLUTION: When the object image is divided into regions and color processing is applied to the division regions, division means 407 to 409 divide the object image into the regions on the basis of color information of the object image and spatial frequency information obtained by edge extraction applied to the object image.
