PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make surely communicable with a person in a vehicle at the time of emergency notification. SOLUTION: An emergency notifying device is provided with a transceiver for emergency communication 14 provided in an on-board machine, a connecting means 15 provided in the on-board machine for connecting to a portable telephone set 20, and a telephone number reading means 21 for reading the telephone number of the portable telephone set connected to the connecting means. The emergency notifying device is configured so as to transmit the telephone number information of the connected portable telephone set as well as emergency notification information including the location information, etc., of the vehicle in notifying the emergency notification to an emergency contact address at the time of the emergency notification.
