PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a camera from being controlled by another terminal than a prescribed terminal during a particular operation of the camera. SOLUTION: The control method for an imaging unit in an image distribution system for distributing an image obtained from the imaging unit capable of being remotely controlled by a plurality of external devices to at least one of the plurality of the external devices includes: schedule execution steps (S607, S608, and Figure 12) for controlling the imaging unit on the basis of preset control data at a preset time; and a limit step (S609) for inhibiting the remote control of the imaging unit by a prescribed external device during the schedule execution step.
