PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical disk reproducing device in which an optical disk is made to have a simple constitution by making switching of a gear in a loader and a slide cam unnecessary, and chucking of the optical disk can be performed exactly, and the time from placing the optical disk on the loader to reproduction of the optical disk can be shortened. SOLUTION: The optical disk reproducing device is provided with a loader 1 on which the optical disk 10 is placed and shifting in the horizontal direction, a traverse part 2 holding a reproducing means 9 reading data recorded in the optical disk 10, and a drive means moving up and down the traverse part 2 linked with operation of the loader 1, and reproduces data recorded in the optical disk 10.
