PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the braking heat of a friction pad transferred to a piston without increasing the plate thickness of an insulator. SOLUTION: Two sheets of insulators 9 and 9 are overlappingly disposed on the rear surface of the rear plate 5b of the friction pad 5 on an action part 2a side. The both insulators 9 and 9 are covered by shim plates 10, and mounted on the rear plate 5b. The thickness T1 of the insulators 9 and 9 is set equal to or less than that of a conventional one sheet insulator. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
