PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DC motor which is downsized and has long service life while making up the segment and brush of a commutator with carbon material or metallic material. SOLUTION: The motor 1 has the above commutator 4 having the segment 4a and the above brush 10. The segment 4a is made of carbon material and the brush 10 is made of copper. By such constitution, the method of manufacturing the DC motor can be downsized and can have long service life while making up the segment of the commutator and the brush with general carbon material and metallic material, and components in the DC motors can be obtained.
