A silver halide color photographic photosensitive material comprising, on a reflective support, at least one yellow-coloring photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one magenta-coloring photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer, at least one cyan-coloring photosensitive silver halide emulsion layer and at least one non-photosensitive, non-coloring hydrophilic colloid layer. Reflective density A(lambda) at a wavelength lambda at an unexposed portion of the material after a color development treatment is 0.08 or less for 450 nm, 0.10 or less for 550 nm, and 0.08 or less for 650 nm. Alternatively, chromaticity at the unexposed portion of the material after the color development treatment satisfies the condition: 91<=L*<=96, 0<=a*<=2.0, -9.0<=b*<=-3.0. Also provided is a process for forming an image using the silver halide color photographic photosensitive material.
