A method that relates to the device management of communication technology, adopting following steps: the device initiatively sent management login request to management system according to the address of management system, after management system receiving the login request of the device, determining whether the device is legal or not based on unique identifier code of the device, if it is legal, then accepting login, otherwise, refusing login; the device may perform dynamical configuration by standard dynamical host configuration protocol DHCP procedure; management login request messages and response messages may use encrypt manner; the device may initiatively sent management login messages to management system in timing; the invention management maintenance is low cost, high efficiency, and it can prevent the accessing of the illegal and the forge devices, the network management system have high security.
