The element is for work piece clamping parts in a chucking device. It contains an actuating cylinder (1) and an actuating element (17) of a valve (2), which is connected to a regulating line (6). The piston rod (12) of the cylinder is moved into an end position opening the valve, via the externally actuated regulating line. The valve is opened time-delayed due to the distance between cylinder and actuating element, and the movement period of the piston rod, and the intake (4) of the regulating line is switched time-delayed to an output (7) of the time function element. The valve is a back pressure valve.
