<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell electrode in which an output voltage which is almost equal to, or higher than the case when only fluorocarbon series proton conductive material is used as a proton conductive material of the electrode in the large current density region is obtained, and which is advantageous for improving generating output of the fuel cell, and an electrolytic solution for the fuel cell electrode. <P>SOLUTION: The fuel cell electrode comprises as a main component a conductive minute body carrying a catalyst and a proton conductive material having proton conductivity which is mixed with the conductive minute body. The proton conductive material is formed by a graft copolymer which is formed by graft copolymerization of a hydrocarbon series compound containing vinyl group with a fluorocarbon series polymer, and by a polymer material having an ion conductive functional group. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
