<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly develop an airbag to cover a side window portion of a car along the window portion. <P>SOLUTION: A first folding portion 57, a second folding portion 58 and an assembly portion 56 are provided from a gas inlet side when folding an airbag 1. The assembly portion 56 is rolled outwardly in a roll from a lower end. The first folding portion 57 is disposed on a cabin 4 side of the assembly portion 56, and the second folding portion 58 is disposed on an outdoor side of the assembly portion 56. When gas is introduced in the airbag 1, the first folding portion 57 is developed firstly, and a head lining 17 is pressed to ensure a projecting port of the airbag 1. When the second folding portion 58 is developed, the assembly portion 56 is pressed against the cabin 4 side to further expand the projecting port of the airbag 1, and the assembly portion 56 is tilted outwardly.
