<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processing method, capable of individually operating a scanner section and a printer section, outputting image data with one read-out operation, even when outputting a plural number of copies, compressing the read out image data to avoid increasing in the storage capacity, and minimizing image deterioration accompanying compression. <P>SOLUTION: An input image processing section 200 performs color correction processing on the image data input from an image scanner section 100 or the like. Then, the image data are compressed by a compression processing section 310 at a predetermined compression rate and stored in a storage section 320. Further, the image data are decompressed by a decompression processing section 330, scaling is conducted by a magnification/reduction processing section 340 with a predetermined scaling ratio, and the data are output from an output image processing section 400. Note that the compression rate in the compression processing section 310 is determined, based on the data amount of the image data, to which magnification zoom is conducted and which are output from the output image processing section 400. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
