ERASURE OF PILOT SIGNAL AND UNWANTED TRAFFIC SIGNAL IN CDMA SYSTEM

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of a code division multiple access (CDMA) communication system by removing a plurality of noise factors before decoding. SOLUTION: In a global pilot and traffic signal erasure device for a spread spectrum communication system receiver that reduces their contributive noise effects of this invention effectively erases the global pilot signal and unwanted traffic signal in active state in the receiver before decoding a desired traffic signal. The system and method decreases the bit error rate (BER), and yields an increased signal-to-noise ratio. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
